I will be an Int’l student and have taken TOEFL. In 1 year I would have completed my undergrad studies from India in Commerce field (bcom) and i already hold a diploma in Interiors. I am working currently and have completed one year at my current job with an impressive portfolio. Now to further enhance my design skills and gain a wider perceptive, I am seeking a Bachelors degree in Interior Design and I was wondering if it would require a SAT. I want to get the course done in 2 years at max, as i already have a diploma, i might not have to take all courses. Which universities offer such program and how much would they cost? Also are they reputed and Accredited colleges? If it would be close to New Jersey it would be awesome.. Thanks for helping me make an important decision in my life.
I recommend getting this book, it provides full listing of the best interior design programs in the country and what requirements are they looking for. It will answer all your questions, and answer them well too.
Here’s the link for it if you want to purchase the downloaded version:

How would I go about getting a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design?
Program that Designs a home or a building on a computer?
Hi there
I Would like a program to design a home or building. I think architectural firms use this. Want to design the interior and the exterior and have the 3D Look. Shows you how it would look when a person is walking through the building. Any program that does this or variants to this can be named. Thanks! ![]()
CAD is the top program that professionals use.
where can i find an online source where Architectural students can exchange there projects ?

Web Design: Building a site weith memberships and store?
I need to build a website were people can be a member: Log in, create a profile, provide us with shipping info, contact info, etc… This site also needs a shop/store section. I want my costomers to buy through the site. How do I program these and how do I adress this from a legal standpoint?
It will take a fair bit of time to build that site: it is similar to any kind of e-commerce.
There are packages you can use, such as joomla, drupal or os-commerce.
However, these packages are still for advanced coders who know what they are doing. But to be honnest, a progammer who knows what he is doing does NOT use these packages: too big, too inefficient, difficult to adapt to a particular case.
They do write it themselves.
A small job like yours can be completed in about three-four weeks (by a pro), and would be charged around 12-1800 us$. (That would be my estimated quote).
On the other hand, if you want to write it yourself, get a start with a login system: download "login script" from http://www.web2coders.com (free). Read it, understand it, and you will have a good starting base.
Good luck!
Will a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens work for me?
Currently I’m using the Canon EOS 450D and I’m looking for an all-rounded/all-purpose standard zoom lens and I was interested in the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
Currently I’m using the kit lens (EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS) and the EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS and also the EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Mostly I do landscape, portraits, and architectural photography, so I was wondering if this lens would be right for me
It is a great lens and will work for most things. However you will lose out on the wide angle end of things compared to the 18-55 and will lose the tele end of the 55-250. If you are looking for a good walk around lens and wont miss the other focal lengths then it is one of the nicest lenses around.
For landscapes and architecture the best lenses are wide angles. So that lens wont be great for these subjects. Your best choice would be the Canon EFs 10-22mm.
For portraits it will be fine but your current lenses will do a very nice job as well. If you were looking for an upgrade zoom lens to do portraits my recommendation would be the 24-70 F2.8L. The larger aperture would be better in low light and give a shallower DOF. Cost is about the same.
Is there a program that I could download on my computer for home design for free?
i would just like to design my dream home just for fun and I just wanted to know if there’s a place online in which I could do that for free?
yes. google sketchup is autocad (architectural program) that is completely free.
search for it on download.com

What classes in college would I be required to take if I’m going to become an architectural interior designer?
I am thinking about going for architectural interior design but I want to know what kind of classes I would have to take. Detail would be great. Thanks!
OK…if i were you here is what i would do…because you could get a mass of crazy answers on here and i could type up my entire 4 years but i do not really have the time for that.
Where do you want to go to school? Go to the schools website and any school will have a detailed list of classes that are required for any given major. That way you can see exactly what classes you would be taking at any school that you might choose to go to…because they can vary drastically from school to school. Good luck!
