Is taking Architectural Technology at a community college a good course to take to prepare for a university?

Is taking Architectural Technology at a community college a good course to take first before going to a university and becoming an architect. This degree is A.A.S so I do not believe it will transfer.

There are Architectural Engineering Technology courses in community Colleges that transfer into Architectural Engineering Technology degrees in university. Some have formal 2+2 agreements between university and community college.

Make sure the CC degree is TAC/ABET-accredited.

Your last sentence probably answers your question. Generally it is relatively hard to transfer into an architecture school, so try to find one which will admit you as a freshman even if you have to go out of state.
