Is this a good career path to pursue?
A person with a two-year degree that takes a lot of drawing classes related to Architecture.
This person has the skills to do a lot of architectural drawings and some design. They may also prepare paperwork related to architectural projects.
But I will be going to a small community college for the first 2 years, and then transfer to a bigger university for my last 2 years. Now if I try to get a job with my associates degree, will I be a little over-worked and bullied, Abused even in a large firm working as a technologist?
Technologists get respect, and a decent salary.
With a TAC/ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering Technology, you will be eligible for NICET Certification as a CET — Certified Engineering Technologist. In some states you are allowed to sit the exams for a Professional Engineer license.
What kinds of jobs can I get, and what kind of income will I receive? Thanks for the help!!!
the job u should focus on is get a four year engineering degree and then working
u r at the technician level and that means hard labor and less pay
spend two to three yrs becoming a engineer…u wont regret it in the long run……u will regret it if u stop at the technician level
trust me
except the houses and buldings that architect design…. what i mean is, it is still design,.right?? i’m not good at architectural design,..so does it mean that i’m not good also at engineering design?? …. that’s bothering me to take up BSEE……. what should i do?? any advice would be much appreciated,….tnx…
Perhaps the best way to describe it is that Architects design around Form while Engineers design around Function.
For an architect, how things ‘look’ is as important as how they are put together. Frank L. Wright wanted his buildings to look like they belonged at that location and were part of it.
G. Eiffel didn’t care as much about that as making sure that his Tower was strong and tall.. A fellow named Roebling only wanted to build a bridge near Brooklyn and it was just a plain bridge held up by cables.
At Thirteen you have more then a few years ahead of you to decide if you like form more then function, so kick back and enjoy your life. As you decide what you enjoy you will find your answer about which road to choose.
good luck on your journey.
Also how much money a year could I make
Cross homeless people with stalks of corn to grow scare crows
I want to apply to the coventry university they have Architectural Engineering and Architectural Design Technology , I would like to apply to the course that I will study designing and planing .
Which course does contain designing and planing ?
I am an architect living in Africa. I became architect and urban planner after I studied architecture and urban planning at university in architecture and urban planning. These days, architecture and urban planning disciplines are being given distinctively, and may be it will be difficult to become both architect and urban planner at one go. Any ways, if you join just architecture department you will become designer, and if you join urban planning department you will become planner. To be both, you have to join architecture and urban planning department. * These fields are so close that you can get you bsc. in one and msc. in the other. Good luck
something with an autocad interface. i tried zwcad, but can only find a demo version without all the features. what site can i find such software?
If you are a professional you will need to have the full version in order to get much work done…a lot of file sharing goes on and the ‘home’ versions won’t be able to open cad files (and if they can then you won’t be able to send them to anyone).
if you are in school…ask your classmates and one of them might hook you up with some helpful software.
