Okay, I am trying to build a bathouse. The design I am using has it to call for 2X6’s for the back. I have been searching other designs and they just use plywood as the back. Does it really matter on which one to use. My main concern is hanging the one design I am using. Does it really matter?
Bats like something to grip on to. Fencing material is very good, which would be 2 x 8, more than likely. Be sure to layer it so that each "unit" extends downward from the outside one by 1.5 inches or so, so the bats can land there and crawl up. If you intend to suspend it from a high perch, make sure it is not too heavy to handle. Board spacing should not all be the same. Some spaces 1/2 inch, some 3/4. They are messy devils, so put it somewhere with ease of cleaning up the guano. Also, they tend to squirt just before they land, so not near a window.
I see no problem in using plywood, except it does not weather well.

Is there a free house blueprint readymade design site? or where can i get some designs for building a house?
Plz Help
There are many pre-made home plans available & you can buy some books at Lowe’s & Home Depot showing many designs, styles, & sizes for ordering a pre-made plan, you can even get a CD with some of them. But the very first thing you need to do is check with your local zoning office to see what the "setback" requirements are. There will be zoning codes/laws that you will need to consider before you can choose a house plan. The setback codes will apply to each side, the front, and the rear for the home, any garage, and any storage buildings that may be built on a lot also.
Example: Here in my town the setbacks are:
1. Front of home has to be set back at least 25 feet from the street, roadway, or alley fronting the home.
2. Each side of the home must be setback at least 15 feet from each property line along the side.
Using that example and with one of my lots I own (50×150) I can only build a home that is no more that 20 feet wide and it must be built in the center of the lot.
Your local zoning office will be more than helpful for you and probably has all that info printed and ready to hand out for their citizens. They may also have that info on their website too. Most ready made home plans are designed for a typical lot size of 75×150 (or bigger) that is available on the market now & have been for many years. You may need a architect to custom design the home for your particular needs & small lot size. Depending on where you live & want to build there may be county zoning codes only but there may also be the town/city zoning codes too so you’ll need to check with both. Some cities allow for a home in a closed alley and/or between other existing buildings so you’ll need to ask about that also if your lot is located in one of those areas.
My best guess is that you’ll need an architect to design a custom home for you.
Can someone tell me how Sydney Opera House A good design? and what forms were used? Thank You for asnwering.
I’ve never actually been there in person, but the Sydney Opera House is very individual, it’s unique. It has become ‘iconic’ of Sydney. There are many such structures around the world that have come to symbolize the places they are–the Eiffel Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Leaning Tower, the Great Pyramid, the Statue of Liberty, the Big Ben tower, etc. When you see a picture of the Opera House (and maybe the bridge) you know it’s Sydney. I’m sure that was one of its design goals, and very successful.
There are other definitions of ’success’ of course, like did it pay back its cost? Is it a good place to see an opera? Is it economical to maintain? For those, you’ll have to do some Googling.

about how much money does it cost to like..design the construction of a house or more of a mansion?
It doesn’t cost anything to design a house! Just grab a pen and a bunch of cocktail napkins and go to it!
Of course if you want a set of plans that will qualify for a building permit that will cost more, a licensed architect or
engineer will probably charge at least a $1000.00 to sign off on a simple set of plans that don’t need a lot of correcting. A lot more for mansions.
Keep in mind that in several cases Houses designed by Frank Lloyd Wright only exist today becase the builders were smart enough NOT to follow his plans!
I want a game that I can build and design a house! Without downloading or buying! I already have sims 1 2 ans 3 so not sims! please and thanks!
