Hi i need a front steel or iron any gate design for my house ,i am planning for some new design for my house gate some thing different . can u plz help me,my requirements are 165height,375width,waiting for your reply

Are those measurements inches? Any metalsmith will have a book of his work. Go to several and see what they have for inspiration. They tend to be aritstic and hopefully some synergistic juices will start to flow. Iron and metal are very organic and can take any form you wish. I’ve seen them worked into literally, garden plants. Is there a particular thing you are passionate about? have a favorite sport, plant, or something natural that is of significnce to you? This is the entrance and your public statement to the world. What do you wish the world to know about you? If all else fails, a family crest, an animal that represents the family name, or your initials will do nicely.

How do I design a house….?

I’d like to eventually have an enormous family. I’ve been looking over house plans for something that would work for a family with 5-10 children, and I’m not finding anything that seems efficient as well as within my eventual price range (300-400k). I plan on a log home, and a large kitchen, several bathrooms ..etc.. but how to make it all fit together without looking like a dorm or cramming everyone in together? I have several creation programs, but I can’t see human-sized beings within the designs to get a feel for spacial dynamics. Any suggestions?

Wish it were as easy as it is in Sims2 :)
1) I am not building it now. I am planning for it now. Which is intelligent and common sense.

2) I’ve tried home designing products/planners/programs. I end up with huge space-wasting designs that don’t give me an idea of cost/method.

How efficient is it to build a house for ten twelve years before you need it? Have you heard the term "starter home"? One thing at a time there.

If you have a pack of kids your house will be a dorm; no getting around that.

PS Find an architect. They design homes for a living. One hour could teach you a lot.

It’s a pretty good program, but expensive, as most CAD programs are.

How much (range) to pay for architect in the Philippines for house design, middle sized?

Posted by admin on October 15th, 2009 and filed under house design | 6 Comments »

Just give me any idea. Thanks.
I just want him to make the design/blueprint….my cousin and uncle are builders so they can read and follow..

The UAP (united architect of the philippines) documents states that a licensed architect should charge a client 10% of the TOTAL cost of the project, but now a days it is rarely implemented.

Most architects charge a fee of their own depending on the negotiations, packages can be discussed to up to what extent you would need the expertise of the architect, for example you can just hire him for design or a full time service of Design + Build + Construction Management. All in all you will still be the head of the project, consider your self as the boss of the project, the architect will report every bits of pieces of information and you make most of the decisions.

For starters A 145 sq meters 2 story residential building with fully furnished material would cost for about 2.5m to 3m pesos depending on the materials, the architect can charge you for 10,000 per sq of the project so approx. will total to 145,000 pesos for the full service, but that is totally negotiable depending on your skills… lol

Good luck with your new house, That will be a good investment…

Is there a copyright law on the design of a house in a tv show or movie?

Posted by admin on October 9th, 2009 and filed under house design | 5 Comments »

If you liked the design of a house on a television show or movie, and you fell in love with it, would there be any copyright laws preventing you from personally hiring an architect to design it from photos of how it appears in the show or film and eventually building it?

Also, If the designer of the house is unknown, would you have to contact the film makers or studio for approval?

Technically, any original work is copyright. That;s the law. In every field.
However, since you will not be using the actual floor plan and claiming it as an original design, simply asking an architect to design you a similar home, it would be impossible to assert breach of copyright.

You would not need to seek approval unless you were using actual plans.

Does there happen to be a free program on the internet that allows you to design a house?
