your going to need a good processor, and a decent video card. those are the two biggest components.
might want a dual core so the autocad, inventor, or whatever your using will run smoothly. however, if you plan to multitask get quad core. there are a ton of manuals online
but pretty much u need
a case
a power supply (prolly like 500 watts)
motherboard
processor (buy a mobo and cpu bundle, makes life easy)
ram
video card
dvd drive
and that’s really about it.
oh.. ethernet card if the mobo doesnt have one.

im also building a computer… with the amd x4 965 black edition, looks like a really nice top of the line processor, but what you should be looking at is video cars and ram.

Any computer better than a 9600 GT video card will run AutoDesk very well.
