Do house designers like to design houses they know a tornado/hurricane will destroy?

Oilfield, I am a Code Guy, they won’t listen, get it? I am going around them, get it?, I am going to prove these systems to those outside of the Codes, get it? These systems blow theirs away, hands down, and they are grade-scool-aged jealous, get it? You and I could get these systems to market faster than the Code people, get it?

well.. i doubt they like seein their work get destroyed so i’d say no

Because the only kind of house a hurricane of tornado won’t destroy is a underground concrete bunker. Not exactly esthetically pleasing.

Not that it makes a lot of difference but this is a question only house designers can answer. I doubt you will get a correct anwer in this forum.

You need to find a meeting where the people who develop the various building codes gather and ask them.
